Notorious playwright Doug Milner is successful beyond his wildest nightmares. Since abandoning comedies and costume dramas in favour of gritty social realism his career has gone from strength to strength. With his latest, and most appalling, play about to open, Milner goes into hiding. Fifteen death threats (a personal record) might have something to do with it. Booking into an up-market vineyard hotel under an assumed name, Milner attempts to escape the pressures of modern celebrity. But, as he is about to find out, there is indeed no rest for the wicked. When you sign a pact with fame in the 21st century then the demons are working 24/7. And with a high profile televangelist, a substance addicted actor, a vengeful ex-wife and the most unscrupulous literary agent in the world on his case something has got to give. With Bruce Davis-Goff, Mark James, Alan Knight, Hannah Blumhardt, Alex Duncan. Written and directed by Alan Knight. Review
