"Elimination of spindly insects and encouragement of lovely little newts who dance about and are happy."
8th Demand of E.L. WIsty's World Domination League (Peter Cook, 1964) Over the last few weeks literally thousands, hundreds, dozens, six people have stopped us in Woolworths and asked "What are you Rogues & Vagabonds up to these days?" Good question. Well, we've been writing. And thinking. And rehearsing. And we haven't spent anywhere near as much time wallowing around in the hot tub sampling the new Laproaig Quarter Cask as some people would have you believe. (Though we'd be lying if we said we hadn't done a bit of that.) Those that have been following the development of this site may have noticed that we took our first halting steps into film making recently and now have our first attempts showing on You Tube. Some of us have decided that we've reached that time in our lives when we want to spend more time socialising with Dr Who monsters, hence the Dalek Theatre stuff that you might have noticed. "But never mind your beastly Daleks, what about Live Theatre?" We hear you cry. Well fear not, as we do in fact have a new show coming up. Three Pints Of Squid Ink & A Packet Of Tentacles is a charming evening's entertainment featuring some new stuff that we've written all wrapped up as a comedy show. There will be sketch comedy from the Pewter Newts, as well as poems and song parodies of varying scurrilousness.* The show opens at Rocky Bay Hall on Saturday the 28th of July, then moves to MORRA Hall for the following Saturday. Tickets cost money as usual. As for the rest, welcome to our little corner of the net. This is just the front page, so stick around. There's lots to see and read. *Is this a word? It is now.
